We serve as part of the NMSC team for all frequency assignment requirements supporting reallocation efforts associated with the Presidential Broadband Initiative. Support tasking includes: Identification of all assignments impacted by relocation requirements, conducting detailed technical analysis on movement to proposed frequency bands, deleting assignments for systems vacating the current frequency band, and submission of new frequency requests in support of relocated equipment. For all assignments, we ensure technical characteristic/restrictions are adhered to and documented accurately in the frequency proposal utilizing appropriate system certification documents, frequency channel plans, the NTIA manual, data bases, and any other applicable documents.
We review ESC requests to determine whether the accuracy and amount of data provided is adequate to obtain spectrum certification, whether the application is necessary, whether the equipment is already certified or if identical or very similar equipment has been certified under a different name.
